2008 Eastern Regional

Entries Close Wednesday, March 26, 2008 for conformaton, obedience, rally, and WC/WCX.

The Atlanta Golden Retriever Club wishes to invite you to some REAL down home southern hospitality!!

This year's Eastern Regional is shaping up to be one of the biggest yet.

There are three days of all-breed conformation, obedience, rally and agility preceding the Eastern Regional Specialty. Don't miss out on a chance to put a couple of majors on your golden!!!

The CCA and WC/WCX will be held on Saturday, April 12th, 2008 at Henderson Village just a few miles from the conformation rings.

Sweepstakes will begin one hour after Golden judging on Saturday, April 12th, 2008 with the Parade of Title Holders and Welcome Dinner to follow. We will have a better idea of the time once entries close.

Specialty conformation, obedience and rally judging will begin on Sunday, April 13th, 2008.

Because we are holding The Eastern Regional Specialty in conjunction with The Combined Specialties of Atlanta and The Peach Blossom Cluster, our Premium List is combined with theirs and it may be confusing just how to make your entries for some of the events. We hope this will clarify some of the more confusing aspects of the Premium List.

1. TO ENTER SWEEPSTAKES (Veteran and Puppy) WHICH WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY APRIL 12TH you must use the Atlanta Kennel Club entry form available on P.85 of the premium list. Indicate Atlanta KC and then check the box that says ADDITIONAL CLASSES. You can then write Sweepstakes and the Class in that box (for instance "6-9 puppy bitches" or "8-10 vet dogs" -whatever class you are entering ).  YOU MUST USE THIS ATLANTA KC ENTRY FOR ALL SWEEPS ENTRIES. This is the ONLY way to enter Sweeps at the Eastern.  The sweeps entry MUST be entered in a regular class on Sunday, April 13th on the specialty form. Normally you would use the same form as you use to enter the regular classes for the Specialty but if you add sweeps to this form the Sweeps entry will not be accepted by Onofrio.)   Online entries, just enter on Saturday, April 13th - Atlanta KC and check the appropriate sweeps class and then enter on Sunday, April 13th for the regular class selection of that entry.

2 . Sweepstakes will begin 1 hour after the completion of Goldens at The Atlanta KC show on Saturday.   We believe this will be approximately 4-5 pm. Dinner will follow the conclusion of Sweepstakes and The Parade of Titleholders.

3.  TO ENTER PARADE OF TITLEHOLDERS - Submit a brief essay (50 words or less) and mail you entry to:

Include the dog's full registered name and all official AKC and GRCA titles.

4. TO ENTER THE PARADE OF RESCUE - Submit a brief essay (50 words or less) and mail your entry to Mary McElroy - see address above.

Include the dog's full registered name, the dog’s history before rescue if known, any abilities, accomplishments, comments and all official AKC and GRCA titles.

5 .  TO ENTER THE WC/WCX including the Puppy Stakes go to the Onofrio Website and click on the Peach Blossom Cluster. Then click on the button that says "Special Events". This will take you to the entry forms for the WC/WCX, the Puppy Stakes, and the Box Lunch order form.
